It was too long for Facebook so I posted it here.

WOAH WOAH WOAH
The House is officially clean
of all materialistic merchandise
purchased without a purpose,
bought to fill the vast void
of disillusionment
& dissatisfaction
Up yours Complexity!
UP yours Consumerism!
UP YOURS CORPORATE AMERICA!
You and your endless stream of acid advertisements
You and your soul sucking savages we call banks
YOU AND YOUR GREED:
Stepping on toes & fingers
STomping on crowns
CRUSHING necks
just to buy something shiny....

Yesterday

I have been singing this song all day

Yesterday
All my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe
In yesterday

Why did this all happened to me?

Suddenly
I'm not half the man I used to be
There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh, yesterday
Came suddenly

It feels like the world is crashing down on me.

Why she
Had to go I don't know
She wouldn't say
I said
Something wrong now I long
For yesterday

My love is now so far away.
Its no more a bike ride away.

Yesterday
Love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe
In yesterday

Why can't I show my emotions
How I keep them locked away

Why she
Had to go I don't know
She wouldn't say
I said
Something wrong now I long
For yesterday

I hope for

Yesterday

When

Love was such an easy game to play

And
Now I need a place to hide away
where I can rest and lay
somewhere safe to stay
Oh, how I believe
In yesterday

June 10, 2011

Wow wow wow
thats all I have to say
because
life is grand
Today
was a date.
we biked for miles
hiked up a trail
and had picnic on top of gravel
Today
was a date.
we kissed our first kiss
explored our urges
and satisfied each other with our existence
Today
was a date.

What will be tomorrow?

A Better Writer

Shakespeare’s growth as a dramatist can be seen with Prospero’s epilogue, as the 4th wall is broken between the actor and audience.  In the final scene of The Tempest, Prospero asks for the audience’s participation:
But release me from my bands
With the help of your good hands.                        (V.i.epi. 10-11)
As you from crimes would pardoned be,
Let your indulgence set me free.                        (V.i.epi. 19-20)
With these lines, Shakespeare asks a direct involvement of the audience in the form of applause.  This is an improvement from his earlier plays.  In Richard the III, the use of breaking the 4th wall was for acknowledgement rather than full involvement:
I am determined to prove a villain
Plots have I laid, inductions dangerous,
To set my brother Clarence and the king
In deadly hate the one against the other;                        (I.i. 30-35).
Richard directly tells the audience of the plot that is to come.  He does not ask for advice or opinion.  He forwardly tells of the acts to come, leaving the audience in a static position.  Where as in The Tempest, Prospero asks for the audience’s involvement.  This difference is an improvement on the use of breaking the 4th wall.  By involving the audience, Shakespeare further captures their attentions and support.
They hear and they forget.

They see and they remember.

They do and they learn. (Confucius)
Shakespeare grew as a dramatist by giving people sledgehammers, to break down the wall.

One World- Earth
On Friday, May 5th, 2011 Ingrid, Yessica, Johnson, Joy, and I enjoyed a meal at One World after a costal marsh clean up at Seal Beach.  It was an unfamiliar experience for me, for I only ate vegetarian cuisine once in respect for my grandpa after he passed away.
I ordered the lunch combo number three, the Teriyaki Skewers.  We were all starving that day.  When the food came out the aroma filled our noses.  The scent of substituted meat would stimulate the nostrils of any man after a long days work.
I bite into the first piece of “beef” and my mouth watered.  IT WAS DELICIOUS.  Maybe it was my stomach speaking for my tongue but all I knew at that time was to keep on chowin’ down.  Yet, something was missing… hot sauce.
VOGL PRINCIPLE: MAN IS STUPID
Luckily our waitress had Telepathy and knew right away what we needed.  She brought some special spicy sauce over and we cheered in our indulgence.  I learned that day, if you take a slice of cucumber and spread it with chili sauce, sprinkle brown on it, add a slice of skewed “beef”, and top it off with a red slice of tomato, it is delicious.  My compliments to the chef at One World, they are great and I will continue to devour the rest of the menu.
I have recently cut back on my consumption of meat.
VOGL PRINCIPLE:  PYRIMIDS OF CONCUMPTION LEADS TO INCREASED CONCENTRATIONS OF MATTER
Thank You

Talent:

a special natural ability or aptitude: a talent for drawing.

http://www.toiletpaperentrepreneur.com/the-right-actions/how-to-find-your-hidden-talent

I'm looking for a talent
to hold and harness
into happiness.

Talent: a capacity for achievement or success; ability: young men of talent.

Where to find it?
AND what is it?
Will I know it
when its in front of me?
Will I hear it
when someone tell me?
Can I recognize talent?

Well that I may not know.
what I do know is:
We must be happy with what we have

& this semester
this month
this week
this day
I know what makes me happy

I met someone
a special someone.
someone that listens
someone that cares
someone that bears
to hear the feeble affairs
of attempts that chase the wind
the endless blowing of wind
the endless desire of fame
the endless wanting of glory
the feebleness of unsatisfaction
someone that cares
someone that bears
to feel the active dares
of self creating creativity
the endless making of innovation
the endless searching for gratification
the endless striving for completeness
someone talented.

Ecclesiastes

Did Solomon write Ecclesiastes?
According to tradition, Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes; however, through literary analysis of textual evidence and analysis of archeological findings this assertion is proven otherwise.
The structure of Ecclesiastes is separated into three sections, the opening, the thoughts, and the closing.  Both the opening and the closing of the book Ecclesiastes is in third person perspective, establishing an editor, who much latter added to the text (Coogan 481).
This editor introduces Koheleth, as “son of David, king in Jerusalem” (Ecc. 1:1).  Assuming Koheleth is Solomon is a hasty generalization fallacy, because according to Adele Berlin and Marc Zvi Brettler, editors of the Jewish Study Bible, “nowhere in the book of Ecclesiastes is Solomon’s name mentioned; conversely, Koheleth does not occur elsewhere in the Bible [either]” (JSB 1604-1605).  The name Koheleth is derived from a Hebrew root, “to assemble”. During the Septuagint in third century BCE, Greek scribes translated this Hebrew root to “Ecclesiastes: the one of the assembly”.
The oldest surviving manuscript of Ecclesiastes is that of one Dead Sea Scroll.   The Dead Sea Scrolls are copies of biblical text that are dated back the mid-second century BCE, concluding that the original book of Ecclesiastes must have been written prior to the second century BCE  (Coogan 482).  After much analysis, linguistic scholars discover two Persian words within Ecclesiastes “Parades [meaning] ‘grove’ {Ecc. 2:5} and Pitgam [meaning] ‘sentence’ {Ecc. 8.11}” (JSB 1605).  These findings narrow the origin of Ecclesiastes to be after the emergence of the Achaemenid Persian Empire in the sixth century BCE (JSB 1605) and are textual evidences showing that Solomon, who lived in the tenth century BCE, could not have written the book of Ecclesiastes.
